Maidenhair Fern

Maidenhair Fern

  • Description

Maidenhair ferns make graceful additions to shady gardens or bright, indirect areas of the home with their lace-like appearance. Their light gray-green, feathery-like foliage adds unique charm to just about any landscape setting. Though they are visually stunning throughout all stages of their growth, they are considered a slow-growing fern, typically taking up to three years to reach their full mature size.

  • Care Information

Find a spot in your home that receives indirect sunlight for your fern. Avoid harsh light, as the delicate leaves of the maidenhair fern can burn easily. These ferns prefer moist, well-draining soil and consistent waterings. Moisture is vital, but drainage is important to avoid root rot. This fern requires very warm, humid air. Hardiness zones range from 8-10.
